The Second Sunday of Easter, Year C (April 28, 2019)

The Sunday of the Palms/Passion, Year C (April 14, 2019)

On this dual purpose Sunday that marks the beginning of Holy Week, preachers sometimes face the dilemma of how to deal with both the Palm Sunday and Passion narratives. Have no fear! The Fourth Sunday in Lent, Year C (March 31, 2019)

For the Fourth Sunday in Lent we have one of the Bible's most familiar texts -- great stuff and a challenge for preaching. It's the "Prodigal" Son, the "Whiny" Brother, and the Oh-So-Patient Father. Guest artist for today is Brad Paisley performing Anything Like Me.

The First Sunday in Lent, Year C (March 3, 2019)

As we begin the Season of Lent, we'd like to say that Delmer and John are committing to a whole new vein of serious conversation and decorum for the podcasts for the next several weeks. We'd like to say that, but it's just not true! Seriously, though -- we love these texts and the work that preachers do each week preparing to preach them. So, here's our best effort for this week. We close today with a nice presentation of an Ira Stanphill classic chorus, It's Jesus and Me.  

Sunday of the Transfiguration, Year C (March 3, 2019)

On this Sunday of the Transfiguration, John and Delmer are NOT transformed but they do make an honest effort at talking the texts and thinking about planning a sermon. Musical guests are the Pure Heart Quartet singing Have a Little Talk with Jesus.
